2003 JCT Awards Dinner Honoree
VICTORIA CANTRELL
SVP/CIO
Giorgio Armani, USA

Victoria Cantrell, as the SVP/CIO of Giorgio Armani in the
United States, has the primary responsibility to ensure that
the overall business is supported by the best and most
appropriate technology and services, and to partner with
executives and management in defining and evaluating the
best ways to improve the business and operations.
Prior to joining Giorgio Armani in early 2003, Ms. Cantrell
was the VP of IT for Gucci Group America. While there, Gucci
saw extreme growth via a series of acquisitions which
required the IT organization to assimilate and integrate
disparate systems and personnel on an international basis.
Ms. Cantrell is a respected industry leader and has been an
active member of the National Retail Federation CIO Council
for the past five years. She is a member of the Policy board
of the Center for Technology in Supply Chains and
Merchandising for Brooklyn Polytechnic University. Executive
Technology listed her as one of the most prominent women IT
executives, and in 2003, Retail Information Systems News
named her one of Retail's IT Pacesetters. See Ms. Cantrell's
