Patricia Morrison
Chief Information Officer
Motorola Inc.

Patty Morrison,
currently CIO of Motorola Inc. She was named
Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for
Office Depot, Inc, in January 2002. Patty was responsible for
directing, overseeing and managing Office Depot’s global
information systems, including its highly successful global
e-commerce platform. This included responsibility for
the worldwide development and support of applications for
merchandising, marketing, sales, e-business, finance, human
resource and supply chain business functions as well as all
of the Company’s computing environments and networks.
Her team was responsible for all strategic, operational and
financial aspects of the Company’s technology decisions.
In November of 2003, Morrison
was elected to the board of directors for
Jo-Ann Stores, Inc., and she also serves on
the
Board of Directors of the
Boca Raton, Fla. Chamber of Commerce.
Before
joining Office Depot, Morrison spent 18 months as CIO of The
Quaker Oats, Co. in Chicago. Patty was an integral part of
Quaker’s systems integration with PepsiCo throughout 2001
after their acquisition of Quaker Oats. Prior to that, Patty
was CIO at GE Industrial Systems located in Hartford,
Connecticut from 1997-2000 where she lead this $6 billion
division of GE through Y2K and an acquisition that doubled
it’s size. She was with Procter & Gamble from 1981 – 1997
where she held a variety of IT leadership positions.
Patty is originally from
Cincinnati, Ohio and attended Miami University graduating
Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Mathematics & Statistics and
a B.S. in Secondary Education. |
