Paul Siegel
Chairman & CEO, Globecon Group LLC

Paul Siegel has been active for over twenty four years in various investment banking, venture capital, financial advisory and operating roles.  During the past 14 years, he has focused in the information, financial service and technology sectors, as both investor and advisor.

Mr. Siegel's areas of interest and expertise principally concern growth and expansion stage companies involved in technology-based products or services, enterprise software, business process outsourcing, publishing/information, technology services, and publishing or content-oriented businesses. He has extensive experience in financial services and health care businesses across the spectrum of business-to-business and business-to-consumer firms.

Mr. Siegel began his career in 1980 in the banking arena and in real estate finance. He held positions of increasing responsibility at Olympia & York, Cushman & Wakefield and, ultimately, Daiwa Securities America Inc., where he was responsible for managing that company's real estate investment banking department.

His upcoming book, entitled Banking on Relationships: Building and Sustaining Competitive Advantage in Financial Services, will be published by McGraw-Hill Companies in 2004. He has contributed to various other books including Foreign Investment in U.S. Real Estate, published by the Nihon Keizei Shimbun.

Mr. Siegel holds an MBA from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where he participated in the International Management Program and received a certificate from the ESADE in Barcelona, Spain. He also holds a BA degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania, where he participated in the Benjamin Franklin Scholar program.
