The Ninth annual Jerusalem Science Contest was held recently. This year’s contest theme was nuclear energy.
Dr. Walder, is a leading and visionary Chicago philanthropist and founder of Integrated DNA Technologies, the largest supplier of custom nucleic acids in the U.S. He spoke at the ceremony of the importance of Torah and science for today. Rabbi Heschel Weiner, the Foundation’s dynamic director emceed the ceremony.
The winners of the first prize, in a dead-heat tie, were twin brothers Moshe and Shlomo Wiznitzer, both seniors at Fasman Yeshiva High School, Skokie, Illinois, who each received $1,000 and a four-year tuition scholarship at JCT’s Machon Lev.
