Graduation Exercises - June 1, 2004

155 young men received their Bachelor Degrees at Machon Lev's 31st graduation exercises on June 1, 2004. The fields in which students earned their academic degrees are: Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics and Electro-Optic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Managerial Accounting and Information Systems, Industrial Management and Marketing and Technology Management and Marketing.

Among the graduates were 11 students of Ethiopian origin who participated in the "Ethiopians for Engineers" program here at JCT. Seven of these earned their degrees in computer science and four in managerial accounting. Most of them are currently serving in the Israel Defense Forces, three have already completed their Officers' training.

One of the degrees in computer engineering was awarded posthumously to Avraham Belahcen z.l. who was killed earlier this year in a terrorist bus bombing in Jerusalem.

Guest speaker at the graduation was Attorney Dr. Jacob Weinroth.

Also awarded at the graduation were Honorary Fellowships to Mr. Judah Hertz of LA, Mr. Max Rothstein of NY and Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Schloss of LA.
