Evelyn Follit is Senior Vice President - Chief
Organizational Enabling Services Officer and Chief
Information Officer for RadioShack Corporation. Her primary
responsibility is to ensure that RadioShack's business is
enabled and supported by our Information Technology and
Organizational Enabling Services departments.
Before joining RadioShack in 1997 as Vice President and CIO,
she served as ACNielsen's Vice President –
Operations/Engineering and Dun & Bradstreet's global
planning and technology leader. Evelyn Follit also has
worked for ITT in various European telephony operations,
process improvement and organization planning assignments
and for IBM in both technology implementation and financial
and product planning positions.
During her tenure at RadioShack, Follit has overseen the
implementation of RadioShack's online strategy of connecting
RadioShack stores to the company's global network and
launched RadioShack's Web site.
In 1999, "Retail Technology" magazine recognized Ms. Follit
as one of the top 10 CIOs in retailing. "Information Week"
designated her as one of the top 10 CIOs across America and
ranked RadioShack's I/T organization ("RSTS") at No. 39 in
the top 500.
In 2000, "RISNEWS" named RSTS in 4th place in the retail
industry for exemplifying the fusion of technology and
business strategy, and "Computerworld" ranked RSTS as 28th
in terms of overall I/T performance. In 2001, "RISNEWS"
ranked RadioShack 3rd of the Top 50 retailers for
successfully fusing its use of technology with the
business's strategy. In both 2000 and 2001, "Computerworld"
ranked RSTS as one of the top 100 I/T places to work.
In 2001, "Computerworld" chose Evelyn Follit as one of the
100 Premier IT Leaders in the country, and "Retail Info
Systems News" recognized Ms. Follit as one of the "25 Most
Influential People in Retail for 2001." In 2002, Ms.
Follit received the "Executive Technology" magazine/Compaq
Computer award for CIO/IT Leadership and Innovation.
In 2002, Evelyn Follit was honored as one of the pioneering
women in technology by the American Friends of the
Jerusalem College of Technology on behalf of its
Women's School of Engineering (New York City).
In 2003, she was named one of the 50 most powerful people in
retail I/T by “Executive Technology” magazine and was name a
co-recipient of the Society for Information Management’s
“CIO of the Year” award.
Ms. Follit has a Master of Business Administration in
finance and information systems and a Bachelor of Arts in
mathematics. She has completed executive planning and
technology programs at Cornell's School of Industrial and
Labor Relations and MIT's Sloan School. |
