Dr. Dov Rubin
VP and General Manager, NDS Americas Inc.

Dr. Dov Rubin is Vice President & General Manager of NDS Americas Inc. located in Newport Beach, CA. He is responsible for the sale and delivery of large Pay Television conditional access systems.

Dr. Rubin is a founder of NDS which started in Jerusalem in 1988 as News Datacom. He has a B.Sc. in Physics and Electro-Optical Engineering from the Jerusalem College of Technology (1975), an M.Sc. in Systems Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland (1978), and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, in Medicine and Computer Engineering (1981).

NDS Group Plc provides end-to-end solutions for digital broadcasting. The company is a leading supplier of open conditional access software and interactive systems for the secure delivery of entertainment and information to digital TVs, set top boxes, personal computers and consumer devices. NDS provides solutions and services to over 50% of the world’s digital satellite subscriber base with more than 32 million viewers of pay TV currently using NDS technologies. Among its clients are DIRECTV in the U.S. providing over 300 channels of digital TV to the entire U.S. Other clients are BSkyB in the UK, TV Globo in Brazil, Televisa in Mexico, StarTV in the Far East, Japan, Australia, to name a few.
