Chaim
Goldstein
Software Engineer,
Giga-Real
Time Systems Ltd.
Chaim Goldstein graduated from JCT in 1994. He grew
up in Petach Tikvah after arriving in Israel in 1971. He
followed his high school years at Yeshivat Bnei Akiva in
Nechelim with studies at Kerem b'Yavne (a yeshivah that
combines Torah study with army service). "It was natural to
pursue my academic studies at JCT," says Goldstein who
holds a degree in Computer Engineering. "After learning in yeshivot I wanted to study in a college with a strong
spiritual background
A father of three, Chaim works hard to balance engineering,
family and Torah study. He is currently a senior software
engineer and team leader specializing in NAFCOS (artillery
navigation and firing control systems) for Giga-Real
Time Systems Ltd. working out of Astronautics C.A. Ltd. His
prior experience includes workingh for Israel Aircraft
Industries as software engineer for the Arrow Missile
project. He also helps JCT graduates maintain contact
with each other by coordinating weekly shiurim in Israel's
Central Region.
Chaim attributes much of his success to JCT. "A
graduate of JCT has Jewish pride, is strong in Torah,
and at the same time is a high-tech professional... I
believe that a strong relationship between JCT and
its graduates is important. JCT can help its alumni find
work - particularly in today's difficult economic situation
in Israel, and the alumni help support JCT in return.
He devotes his spare time to sharing Torah with a wide
audience, from JCT graduates to adults and children
in his neighborhood. He likes to prepare and give to the
community. And while he admits that he hasn't much time, he
volunteers to help JCT graduates in other parts of
the country organizing Torah lectures. After all, he
believes that "everyone who meets JCT alumni feels
that there is something special.
